Daventry Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I've loaded up my entire store. Changed the admin/includes/configure.php & includes/configure.php to 444...which I can do either via my FTP or through a direct on-line hosting site and I STILL get the following warning at the top of my website: "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /services/webpages/a/l/albertahorse.ca/secure/cart/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." How do I make it go away? Thanks

Thanks you could try setting permissions to 400 or even 0 just to isolate the problem.
Daventry Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 I tried 400 but the same error message is still at the top of the screen. 000 doesn't help me at all because then the enitre store doesn't show up on-line at all.
Daventry Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 Yep! I changed the following files to 4-4-4 : includes/configure.php admin/includes/configure.php I haven't changed any of the files at all. I bought and downloaded a template right from the OSCommerce store, loaded everything up and, as instructed, deleted the Install files and changed both configure.php files to 444. The warning message went away at the top of the screen for the install but not for the configure.php files.
