cwg25
I've gotten this error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /mysite/public_html/osCommerce/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 13 It happens when I try to view my catalog page, the main page. I just installed OSC and have been tinkering around with it. I go to that index.php file and see nothing wrong as far as I can tell. I've searched for the answer here and found somebody with the same problem. They were told to put a \ in front of all of the apostrophes, so "Here's" becomes "Here\'s". The original poster said they tried this trick and made all of the changes and the page worked. However, I did change the 2 instances that I found and added the \ but the page still doesn't work. I still get the same error. Is there something else I need to look for? Thanks. -Chris
♥Vger
Yes, you need to stop using the osCommerce File Manager. Read the 'Parse Error' link below my name for how to edit files in osCommerce. Vger

I guess the osc editor screws up the file in another way since I fixed all of the \ problems.
ozEworks
use the file manager than comes with your hosting account and not the one in Admin. Even then be careful of leaving blank lines at the end of the file. or download and use notepad or a php editor.
