Display products list in index.php as in products_new.php

I'm trying to have index.php display products like products_new.php does, ie: Column 1: picture, Column 2: Product (and maybe the description too), Column 3: the price, and Column 4: the buy it now button.

However, it doesn't seem so simple and I'm a bit confused with all the requests being made to the database in index.php. So I'm not exactly sure what to copy from products_new.php...

Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you!

Uhm... Bump! :-"

Maybe somebody can point me out to a contribution or a previous thread dealing with this issue, or some other issue that has to do with the way products are listed and how to change it. I haven't found much using the search function and there doesn't seem to be any contrib. Maybe I'm wrong... Thank you.

I can't follow what you mean so maybe other can't either.

Actually, I want all my products to be displayed just like when you look at the new products. Let's use an example...

I would like these products: http://leschopins.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=23

to be displayed like this: http://leschopins.com/catalog/products_new.php (you need to be logged in, I think, but it can be tested with pretty much any other osCommerce website where you are registered.)

Johnson, I'm not exactly sure what can be changed in /includes/modules/product_listing.php. How can index.php and products_new.php display products differently while using the same file?
