♥Monika in Germany
Is it possible to change the background color of the new products infobox at the foot of the main index page without it affecting other infoboxes elsewhere? hi yes there is, you need to create a new infobox class and assign that to the box used. Take a look at infobox contributions where youc an define colors for each one separately You will have to do something similar for the content box class called in the file new_products.php :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ... I've found new-products.php (eventually) but I don't know whereabouts in the script I define my new class. I can get my head around creating a new class in the stylesheet (just copy the existing infobox stuff and call it something else I presume). ♥Monika in Germany
Thanks Monika. I've found new-products.php (eventually) but I don't know whereabouts in the script I define my new class. I can get my head around creating a new class in the stylesheet (just copy the existing infobox stuff and call it something else I presume). have you looked at those contributions for changing the look of infoboxes? This goes deeper into the boxes classes, so I'd prefer you to use a contrib. :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ... Broadsword
have you looked at those contributions for changing the look of infoboxes? This goes deeper into the boxes classes, so I'd prefer you to use a contrib. Im looking to do something similar (http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=179673) - i don't want to install any contributions though as i have already one installed for the categories.php infobox and dont want to lose what i have there. Can anyone please explain to me what files i need to change/edit to change the colour of just one infobox? Thanks

Thanks those contribs create new classes to use for each infobox, so it would not touch your categories file at all.
