akisok2
I love osCommerce and have used it for two stores now. I am especially impressed with the power and flexibility of the software. It is amazing what you can do with it! One suggestion I would like to make is possibly repackaging osCommerce in a new "lite" version that strips down the features and functions to a minimum and allows users to add functions as they need them. Perhaps an osCommerce package that has the product catalog features only, one with the catalog AND e-commerce capabilities, and the full on osCommerce package we have today. Just an idea... I find that I don't really use all of the capabilities of the whole package and could do what I need to with a smaller, simpler osCommerce. cannuck1964
the new version with services implemented maybe the idea thing to use. I am not sure how much is controled this way, but stripping down the cart system is not that hard, a simple cart is in reality simple to build, but that is not what osC is currently designed for. To strip down MS2 would be a interesting task, but you would need to define what functionality stays and what does not... cheers, Peter m Peter McGrath ----------------------------- See my Profile (click here) for more information and to contact me for professional osCommerce support that includes SEO development, custom development and security implementation
