Hi, please would someone advise me how to back up my SQLdatabase?

Also if I have encountered a problem when loading a contribution, is it possible to "undo" a change to the database?

Thanks.

You will never learn if you don't try. And boy am I trying....!

In Admin - Tools there is the Database Backup that will backup your database, and yes you can restore the backup if you need to from the same place.

Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.

go to ftp or your file manager in your host panel and add the folder "backups" to the admin folder. Make it 777

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with the configure.php. I tried making the following change and I still get teh same "backup directory does not exist. Please set this in configure.php.

I went into my file manager and under the catalog/admin I created a folder called backup. Is there some type of editing I need to do in the configure.php file now. thanks for any help.

Hi,

ONce you have set up the folder called "backup" you need to go to your hosting package and in there file manager or protected directories area then set the permission for the file to 777.

This should make it available and wriatable when you go back to OSC admin area.
