Uniform Photo Sizess

Greetings-

 

How do I make my image sizes uniform? Some of them fit right into the space allowed, some of them look disfigured (too tall or too wide), some of them have white space at the top and bottom.

Robin I totaly agree with yoru question and hope someone can answer.

 

How is it possible to have OSCommerce Generate its own thumbnails for uploaded JPG's but for it to retain the origonal aspect ratio.

 

Can Anyone help.

 

If there is a bit of software i require please advise.

What you can do to make all your images uniform is go into your admin page and under configuration, click on images and set up your image sizes. Then, what I did was make sure all the images I wanted to upload were according to the sizes I set up.

I'm new to this, so forgive me if my question seems simple.

 

First, how did you know what size to setup your pictures? and

 

Second, how did you know (do you find out) the size of the picture you are uploading?

I used one of the contributions that keeps the aspect ratio, in other words doesn't distort the images. All of my images are different sizes, and spending time to resize them is just plain silly in my opinion. The contrib is here:
