Guest
Hiya I wonder if anyone can help with this ..... I have made some test orders but we are not recieving emails for the orders neither do they show up in admin. The only payment method we have installed is paypal. Is it a case of the system needs to wait for confirmation of the payment from paypal before it registers the order or is something else going wrong. If it is paypal are there any special settings I need to do in my paypal account Any help would be appreciated Annie
Guest
yes with paypal has to return to complete the process. Try it with the "cash on delivery" module, you could install it easily from the osc admin cpanel.
Guest
Thanks for helping Do I have to set up anything special in paypal?
Guest
nothing for testing, if you do receive emails with the cod module it should work with paypal. There is an extra option inside your paypal account I think to automatically return to where the transaction was originated. Just in case your customers forget to press the return button after they finish their order.
future_man
I'm having the same problem with my PayPal setup. Is there a specific URL in the store where PayPal should be sent back to? ie. is there a page set up for this, or is this something that I have to code? Just trying to get my bearings on this one. Thanks, John
Guest
It is already set to checkout_process.php on success and checkout_payment.php on cancel. They are both programmed in the paypal.php module with your osc. And there is the paypal auto-switch option with your paypal account.

So if I'm reading this correctly, all I need to do is configure the PayPal account settings to get the notifications going? Do you know what OSC specific information is needed there? Guest
here is another thread for the exact steps in the paypal account http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=688213 but the page set doesn't matter it just activates the auto-redirect. The page is already set in the osc paypal module correctly. Also make sure the email address of the paypal module in the osc admin is set and the send extra emails in the osc admin configuration is also enabled. You should get notifications as long as the mail server is working.
