pleasurewear Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I have been told that OS Commerce is not very search engin friendly, is this true?
Guest Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 No because there are many osc SEO contributions to transform the php pages to traditional html if you think that will improve your PR, but search engines process php pages anyways.
pleasurewear Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Thanks for the reply, what? Treat me like a true novice and say that in english
Jack_mcs Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 The url of an html site for some product will appear as http://www.yoursite.com/some_product.html. The url for an oscommerce shop would be something like http://www.yoursite.com/product_info.php?products_id=7. The SE's used to have a problem with the latter. It is not anything to be concerned with now as egnima1 mentioned unless you just like the lok of the former. In that case, you can install a SEF contribution.
