paul t
are you working online or offline? anyway, check in the catalog folder if you do have the file oscommerce.sql in the install folder. It should be there by default. If not, download osC from this site and upload that file so you can use it. I, too, am having the same problem, and this seems to be one that does crop up from time to time. I did make sure the oscommerce.sql file was in the install/ directory on the server online, but the problem comes from the database making the directory path absolute to C:\install\oscommerce.sql. Of course this is in error, but I am stumped as to how to make the setup process look in the correct directory path. Some background on the installation: osCommerce is being installed on a Windows 2003 Server with IIS and running PHP 5.0. All files were FTP'd into their designated directories according to the Windows ZIP drive. I had to install a contribution patch into osCommerce to turn register_globals off (register_globals_patch_2005-01-05_1.zip). I then modified files install_2.php, install_3.php, and install_4.php in the install/templates/pages/ directory according to another post to get setup to recognize the Windows server and make a test connection to the database. I have only FTP access to the web server, not admin rights (the ISP hosting company does). I am trying to set this website up for a charity cause for the upcoming holidays, so any assistance would be VERY much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
