si101
Hi all, I am just finishing off my online shop and I'm looking into credit card processing... Basically I want to use PayPal (Primarily for cost reasons) and I was wondering if anyone could give me some idea of how to get it all set up and give me any advice. Regards, Simon. ♥peterpil19
Hi, if you want to use paypal, make sure to install the paypal IPN oscommerce contribution. This is important as it ensures that your customer's orders (which appear in admin) are updated, e.g. marked as complete once they pay. It is not hard to install. It appears just like the default paypal module and you just need to turn it on and enter your paypal address etc. You can even set up an account at the paypal testing site (https://developer.paypal.com/) to test your orders! Paypal is great. As an eBay buyer/seller I use it frequently. Only problem with using it as an only payment method is that some customers might get turned off because they don't understand what it is and don't understand that it can accept credit card payments.
