wangchao Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Hi, Gurus, Recently, I moved my store one level up to the root directory from subdirectory /catalog. How something happened which I think is not reasonable. Please give me suggestions if you have experienced any similiar cases. My store is at http://www.esilk.biz/ . The first category is batik. Move the mouse on this link, it will show http://www.myname.com/batik-c-1007.html. However, after this link is clicked and became bold. Moving the mouse on top of it will show http://www.myname.com/catalog/batik-c-1007.html. These two are different, yet both can work. The trick is I have deleted the catalog directory after I moved the store one level up. So I think this is a problem with the SEO, which shows a 'FAKE' URL in the web browser, while interpret it into product ids upon clicking... So, could anyone tell me what's the difference between the two links, one is without catalog and is not bold in itself, while the other is bold and with links to a url containing catalog. The seo contribution someone installed for me is ultimate seo. Thanks David Quote -David Wang
