janice171 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Hi, could someone please check my site for me... i can't seem to get past the checkout_shipping.php to make a purchase...please try it for me using a username of: [email protected] password of: testing also, on the account sign up page i want the d.o.b to be the english way of writing dates i.e. dd/mm/yyyy, i thought i'd changed this by altering the english.php file but it still will not accept this method. i also want to take out 'country' from the account information page as the site is only available to the uk...and i'd like the 'county' option not to be compulsory, can anyone tell me how to do this? thanks in advance of any help. the site in question IS HERE. cheers janice
janice171 Posted October 11, 2005 Author Posted October 11, 2005 ...i've had a bit of a break through with this problem in that the continue button on the checkout_shipping page only seems to work when the country is not the UK...when the billing address is any other country i can get through to the payment pages. anyone have any ideas??
kev@num Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 i've got the same problem on my current test site with some of my shipping methods which i think is where the problem lies.. my two uk shippers work fine, and my one custom zones shipping works fine, but my standard EU and USA shippers get stuck.. i don't think the problem is to do with the country of purchase, i think the problem is a bit of code in the shipping modules somewhere.. as soon as i find it i'll post the answer here :) if you could do the same that would be great :) or have you solved it already?
janice171 Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 hi...yes i solved it already...well actually someone else did. but if you think you know which file the code changes will be on i will post them here.
kev@num Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 thanks for getting back :) i've fixed mine now too... did some more searching and eventually found that shipping modules (and possibly others) can't have an underscore in their filenames!!!! and this makes you get stuck in a loop on checkout_shipping.php
