Blocking File Download Until Payments Clear

When the customer pays with cheque or money order they have instant access to the file they just purchased.

  • Is there a way to shut that off until the "admin" has confirmed payment?
  • Is this also the same issue with PayPal?

Thanks

There is a shipping contribution that will take care of that. Until then disable download in the admin panel

HI...interesting ...that is really similar to what I need too!

I need to sell and send PIN numbers for using a service, however.

I only need to wait a few seconds or a minute for the bank message back OKing the sale.

How do I block the email confirmation until the confirmation comes in?

THANKS.... :)

Don't have the item as an instant download.

HI ...

Many*Thanks...

Please keep me in your thoughts for when you think of a nice smart way to do that, please?

...

Lots of osC shops will need to sell PINs in the future,

[and be 'sure' that they get paid for it before sending it, electronically,]

so this could become a Really Important Contribution for someone to sculpt!

(Yes; we know it is art!)

Sorry mate my comment wasn't intended to be smart just a statement. I do apologise.

My apologies, too, mate, for my absent mindedly+unintentionally using the idiom 'smart'...

I was only searching 'aloud' for a clever way to adapt your fine file download solution... as in a new, nifty, cool, original, out-of-the-box, neat & tidy way to approach answering my app, etcetera...

~~~
A. I will have the bank collect client money in realtime & notify me electronically.
B. Milliseconds later I get a PIN# for him/her from my supplier,
and then I send the client his/her new PIN# in a nice thank you note from osC.
...so, in detail:
I need only to block the osC 'thank you' email for a few seconds until (2) little notices ( A + B ) arrive, combine them and THEN send the customer their new paid-for PIN#in a nice 'thank you' email from osC's 'email thank you' generator...
How do I THINK I will do that? Humnh...I get nearly simultaneously, and sequentially, both:
1) the authenticated electronic notice [A] from the bank that they have the client's money, and
2) the unique, fresh PIN# from the wholeseller, and then=>
=> I have to automatically 'package' the PIN# in an email/SMS and send it out to the happy customer.
The trick is that the bank sends me a secure notice [A] electronically that they have the money safely for me, and
the same notice [A] is copied to my supplier (who recognizes it is from an authenticated bank IP address),
then generates on his transaction server and sends it to me with his reference number and in it is a reference to the bank transaction# (which was also in [A])
...so I have to make the thank you email wait for the little notices ( A + B<including the PIN#> ) to arrive and pop into my osC server, somehow...CATCH Both, and then eat them...
In short,
OsC makes an original transaction # somehow
+
the bank has its bank transaction# when it gets the money for me
+
my supplier sends me a message with the new PIN# for my client
+
I have saved at shopper registration the his/her email & mobile phone# for later sending out the 'thank you' note with the PIN#
=I have to 'eat it all' and link them, then I know which transaction numbers go with which new PIN#s, and I can send product(PIN3s ) out the door safely!
...pretty simple actually...at least on a screen!
But...How do you think I could _do it_, please?
Many, many, many, many...
THANKS for 'putting your hands around it,' Trevor...! B)
Have a great day!
Charles
