Would there be any issue within osCommerce if I downgrade? osCommerce 2.2MS2 can have problems with PHP 5.x so you are better off anyway using the latest 4.x version in my view. I would recommend PHP 4.3.11. Note there is a 4.4.0 version out but it breaks binary compatibility and it is quite possible that you could have problems with other PHP based software if not the core osCommerce scripts themselves.
