Stretched Pictures

I have just recently rsn into the problem of when I load pictures onto my site from Oscommerce, they seem to be stretched as a thumbnail, but are the right proportion when the tumbnail is clicked. Can anyone help me fix the problem of the stretched thumbnail?

I think you need to set your image widths to a fixed

number and then it will be okay.

 

Go into your Admin console and go to "Configuration"

and "Images"

 

Change all of the image widths but leave the height

blank.

 

My widths are set to:

 

Small Image Width is 100

Heading Image Width is 57

Subcategory Image Width is 100

 

For "Calculate Image Size", make sure it is set to "True"

fastest fix for the distortion would be to leave the image width as is and set the image height to nothing, just an empty field (not a 0)

I used this contribution, and it seems to work except that it does not show the thumbnail on the description page. How can I fix this?
