Adding a quantity & an attribute

Hi! I'm setting up my shop and have a few items that I need help listing. Is there a way to have an item listed with an attribute (say color or style) and set a certain quantity for each style? For instance:

 

I have a book that has 5 different covers and I only have a certain number of each in stock:

 

Dragonfly: 2

Butterfly: 2

Ant: 1

Beetle: 2

Spider: 2

Caterpillar: 1

 

Right now I'm setting them up as different items and it seems like a waste of time, shouldn't there be an option to have the quantity attach to the specifics?
