why do my product appear outside of the categories?

My products are appear not only in their proper catagories, but the very same products also appear right next to the category they should be inside of. :blink: The admin section does not show this, so there is now way to change it there. Something (an underlying problem) is causing a redundancy, but what?!?!?

 

I've really looked for help on this one and have found nothing. Does anyone out there have any ideas?
