pglock
We have a mildly modified MS2 installation. We have a regular problem with customers who order products that are shown as out of stock. The behaviour we want is to give the option for current products that are at zero inventory to be orderable, with the '*** out of stock' warning, but products that are set as Out of Stock on the individual product page (i.e. the red button is showing on the Admin -> Catalog -> Categories / Products page) are not shown in the catalog. Any ideas how to achieve this? Thanks in advance Peter Glock Splat Cooking Parties

pglock
Thanks for the fast reply, but that's how it is set up already. Curiously, I'm unable to reproduce the behaviour from my own computer when I'm logged in as a user. 'Red' status products don't show for me, but some users seem to be able to order them. Any other ideas, other than deleting products that we don't want to show up?

I've seen that recently with a client ... the issue was that 2 customers had the same item that had a quantity of 1 in the cart, and of course one was faster with confirming the order ... :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ...
