Guest
When i use the 'contact' link it says after i send a message, successfully send, but no email is every received. Same goes for the shopping cart and checkout. Oscommerce does not send emails but also does not give any error or other info to work with, it looks like mail has been send, or like the checkout procedure was successful. i run the latest version of oscommerce on a Debian 3.1 Sarge Linux box with postfix as SMTP, and that is running at port 25, i checked. Please tell me in what file or menu i should configure oscommerce to work along with SMTP? Since the admin screen only asks for SMTP or sendmail but doesn?t actually ask for a username of password for SMTP access, or any other option that might solve this. Your tips and/or help are highly appreciated, thank you! Dex p.s. is there also a howto about how to use SSL with oscommerce?
♥Vger
In your osC admin panel, under Configuration --> E-mail Settings you have the choice of SMTP or Sendmail. On a linux box the choice should probably be sendmail. There is a contribution you can add if you need SMTP authorisation. Vger
