JKG Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 I noticed that some of my listings on search engine's are showing up with oscommerce ont he end like this stereo cassatte oscommerce Any idea why it just doesn't show the product's name? You need to go to your admin section under Header Tags->Text Control and change that. JKG Posted October 8, 2005 Author Share Posted October 8, 2005 Ok I tried as you said. That I needed to change the default in the text control box. Seems everytime I change it and update it. The same oscommerce and description will come right back in the default section. For some reason it will not stay changed. Jack_mcs Posted October 8, 2005 Share Posted October 8, 2005 Try making a change in admin->Header Tags->Text Control and click Update to save it. Then go to includes/languages/english/header_tags.php. Is the change you just made in that file? If not, try changing the permissions on that file to 755 and try it again. If it still doesn't work, then your host is blocking the writing to the file and you will have to make the changes yourself by editing the file. JKG Posted October 8, 2005 Author Share Posted October 8, 2005 Thanks a million it must have been my host, because I tried and tried changeing the permissions and clicking update. Everytime I would come back it would be back to the default oscommerce and description. I just did as you said and edited the the file.
