icon911
I just got an order for a client out of California and the order was still taxed ?? So I am obviously doing something wrong :) Here is my setup: Tax Zones has: California Tax Classes has: Taxable Goods Tax Rates has: Taxable Goods for California with Tax rate 8.25% Every product assigned Tax calss of Taxable Goods From what I understand Taxes should only apply to order within my state. Any ideas? Thank you
Guest
Taxes are applied based on defined tax zones. So you had an entry for taxes in CA of 8.25% and so this will be applied to any customer who requires shipment to CA. What you describe is what I would expect to happen. Sorry for not being clear, the order I received is outside of California :) So I dont understand why CA tax still got applied.
Guest
Ok, goto your tax zones. You mentioned you have an entry called california there; is that when you click the "details" button? or just the name of the folder is called california? You have to get to the details and setup country and zone there.
