Guest Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 When I first started my shop, my images were in .jpg. I now am converting them to .gif, as I want all my images to have a transparent background. My question is, is there a need to keep the .jpg images in addition to the .gif? I don't want to delete the .jpg if there is any reason I might need it in the future. Thanks.
bladeeta21 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 its always a good idea to keep the images as backup just incase something! id recomend putting them on a cd or something..
Guest Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I keep backup of the .gif images, it just seems redundant to keep both. That's what I'm trying to figure out. If I need both. Thanks for your reply.
bladeeta21 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 i guess you dont need both but what i have come to whenever i delete old images is that i might need to edit the original but dont have it anymore. sometimes converting to transperent background messes up the image for re editing.
Guest Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Thanks. That's what I was worried about. I'll keep both copies...just in case. Regards,
