trixstr
Fantastico is (I believe) a 1-click automated install. You shouldn't have to provide much by way of details. kgt
Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain (access example: http://domain/).Enter only the directory name to install in a directory (for http://domain/name/ enter name only). This directory SHOULD NOT exist, it will be automatically created! I need to know what directory to creat to put it in???????? Follow the directions - it'll walk you through installation. Do not create the directory yourself. If you have a domain name: www.mydomain.com And you want your site there, then you want it installed in the root directory. (And according to the instructions, you "Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain"). If you want it at a URL like so: www.mydomain.com/store then you enter "store" as the directory name. Hence "Enter only the directory name to install in a directory." stu778
having the same sort of problems, if i leave the field blank i.e. upload to the domain name it comes up with the following The installation can not be completed: - You chose to install in the main directory of the domain ms-online.co.uk, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain ms-online.co.uk (path="/home/ms7onl/public_html/").You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation: images Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors. shall i remove these files? or will it mess things up? thanks very much Stu
♥Vger
It's saying that a folder called 'images' already exists in the root and it can't overwrite it. Unless it has images you want to keep then delete the images folder and then do the install. Vger
