Hi !

I'm thinking about changing the e-commerce program in my website but i would like to put all the product info i have in the program actually in (Access 2000 format, accessed via odbc) the OsCommerce database...

I have not found any info about migrating the info, so if any of you could help me, it would be great... I have a lot of products in the shop so it would be a lot of saved time if i could use all the data (or at least the product codes and descriptions !!! :-) )

Thanks a lot in advance

There are several different ways you can migrate from Access to MySQL. A Google search will bring up some tools and information that should help you:

The biggest problem will be mapping - figuring out which Access fields need to go into which MySQL fields. The second biggest will be small but annoying differences between the format of data. For example, MySQL expects dates to be in the format YYYY-MM-DD. This is not the format Access uses.

Expect to import data a couple of times before you get a clean import to MySQL.
