Panic! Cart due to go live and now continue button not working!

My checkout page is no longer working and the site is due to go live today! On checkout_shipping.php the CONTINUE button simply reloads the same page over and over.

I had tried to add the giftwrap contribution but could not get it to work [even though I've successfully added it to other sites]. So I took the giftwrap code out and encountered the above problem. I then reloaded a backed-up version of checkout_shipping.php [pre giftwrap install], but still the same.

Desperate for help as the client will go ape when he discovers this!!

You can see the problem at Get the Gift

I think you have overwritten something in the giftwrap contribution.

I see the continue link pointing into the page you are already in.

1.copy the gift wrap contrib off some where else and get a clean copy of checkout shipping.

2.Make sure you have the following in the admin setup.

2.1. you actually have an active shipping method

2.2 you have the shipping addresses a client can have greater than zero

and lastly dont panic. Go out for a walk around the block to clear the head. i find this always works.

Cheers

I just had to reply to this and say THANK YOU! My situation wasn't quite the same as the original poster but I was out of nowhere stuck at the checkout shipping page. I hadn't installed any new modules and all my code was the same when I did a compare on the backup. I was pulling my hair out and starting to think it was a problem on the server and not OSC. After seeing your reply here I realized it was due to not having a shipping method as active. The shop only does local deliveries but wanted a low order fee. Somehow it got screwed up when I was changing settings in the admin. I've corrected it now thanks to you.
