Products Download Problem

hello,

 

i am having a problem with my product downloads.

 

i have everything set up correctly.

 

my downloads are in /store/downloads/ and that directory is set to 755

 

/store/pub/ is set to 777.

 

but when i purchase a product from my store, and try to download it... it the link takes me to /store/pub/downloads/product.zip and there is a 404 error. nothing is there to download. i dont understand what the problem is.

 

what am i doing wrong?
