Need Help FATAL ERROR when trying to log on to osc

Hello,

I am just taking the leap into ecommerce on the web. After checking out the options, I decided to use Lunar Pages as my Web Host and OSC for ecommerce. I signed up with Lunar Pages and had no problems. I then used fantastico to install OSC via cPanel at Lunar Pages. When I was forwarded to OSC Adim I get the following error "FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!" I just changed the DNS to the new host and don't know if that is the problem. Please help.

No, the problem is that Lunar Pages are running PHP with Register Globals set to 'off' in php.ini. Don't even bother asking them to change this - they won't. Just install the Register Globals Patch Files (link below my name).

Thanks Vger. The patch worked like a charm. Being new at this, it took me a while to figure out how to load it. Once loaded it worked right away. It saved me countless hours I would have spend trying to figure out the problem. I can't thank you enough. You are an asset to this forum.
