How to sync 2 systems

Hi there,

 

any ideas how to syncronize 2 systems the easy way ?

 

I have my productive system and a testing enviroment, and until now, I copy each file, which has changed on the testing enviroment to the productive system.

 

Can anyone tell me, if I can use a sync program like unison, when I can except some files.

 

If so, what files should I except from this sync process (must be the config files) ?
