bobeisenberg
I keep getting the following error message: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /public_html/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. However, despite the fact that I have got the CHMOD properties set to 644, (file manager in Administration confirms this), I still get this message. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can stop the error message. Many thanks. Bob.

Guest
This has solved the problem. Thank you very much. Bob. Hi, I have the same problem. I chanced configure.php to 444 but I still get the error message. The installation was done with Fantastico. After the installation the rights were 644. The osCommerce installation documentation says that after installation it must be changed into 777. But do they mean that after the configuration you have to set it back to 644 or 444. Anyway I tried everything, now it is 444 and I still get the error Help? Anyone?
