Guys and gals,

My site was hacked with a trojan horse. Luckily my security stopped it from going any further.

I have had to backup my site with a previous installation.....lucky me !!

However, when i simply replaced the existing files with my back up files, my lists of categories (top left of page) is showing the default categories of:

Region 1 DVD

Region 2 DVD

Video Games

Gadgets

I had changed all this to show many lists of categories.... here is a screenshot:

I went into my admin panel..... and the above screenshot is what i can see, but how come its not showing on my main page ????

Sorry....buts its been a while since i did any editing to this site and I would just like a pointer to the file that i need to edit to show these categories on my main page.

Any help.....much appreciated please

Many thanks

In your osC admin panel, under Configuration --> Cache --> Use Cache set it to 'false'. Go to both of your configure.php files, and edit the last line to read 'mysql' where indicated - storing sessions in the database and not in files.

You are on a shared server with a shared 'tmp' folder and your Categories are getting mixed up with Categories cached from other websites on the same server.

Calm down, it's all working.

Make sure that you don't have any browser windows open with your site loaded into it. Then, in your browser go to Internet Tools --> and Delete all Offline Content and all Temporary Internet Files, view site again.

I did delete my temp internet files, but still showed the errors.

It seems to be working ok now.

Thanks for "calming" me down :D
