Blueac
I have a requirement to sell a single product and thus do not require the catalog at all. All I need is for clients to select the quantity and then go through the checkout process. I have looked at the docs and forums and cannot find how to set the system up for this. I am happy to have a static page with a drop down box for quantity. since the item is shipped for the listed price I have no need for taxes or shipping fees. How do I set the system up to handle my requirement. I can remove all the categories, search, whats new, currencies etc etc from the templates but will that accomplish what I need? If I create the item in the catalog, how do I pass the quantity to the cart from my static page? Thank you in advance for your assistance. buac p.s If this question has been discussed/covered elswhere on the site I would be happy for you to point me in the right direction. ♥Vger
Using osCommerce for one product is total overkill. All you need is an html site with a PayPal 'Buy Now' button. Vger

Vger Whilst I understand it is overkill I would still like to have the functionality that it offers. The gateway module is there the reports are there the checkout process is neat and I would have an order history......besides it is what I would like to do that should be the main reason :) sb
♥Vger
Use the 'Products Attributes' function then, and use multiples of the product as the attributes. That will give you your product with a drop-down box where people can select the quantity they need. Vger
