Bead Jewelry Store - 1st Osc Try - Please Review!

Bali Hai

Recommended Posts

We have created websites for several years with html and Dreamweaver. This is our 1st attempt with php and specifically with Osc. We think everything is working and there are no dead links. We are still developing some of the verbiage for a few pages like FAQ's, Glossary . . .

Just like all other papa's, we think our baby is beautiful. We want to see what our neighbors say. We would appreciate any comments or advice.

here is the link to our website

Siti's Gallery

Thanks,

Siti & Dennis

1. I would find a button set to match your site colors.

2. The table background images (other than the ones you modified) should be removed...they do not flow with the site design at all.

Cheers.

James,

I played with a lot of buttons and rollovers and javascript. Ended up with the stock buttons. I'll do some more work on it and change my buttons.

Also, I guess you're right about the table background images. I'll remove them.

Thanks again! :)

I am also a newbie. so to me the site is beautiful. How did you add the picture to the category and show in the category pages? Were they contributions?

The only criticism I have is that when you go go the category page the category list is confusing. I think maybe bullets would help.

Thanks Ola,

I added the category pictures in the standard osC Catalog Admin screens. As far as I know, I didn't do anything special and they appeared on the category pages.

I use Easypopulate 2.76 to load or inactivate products, but I setup categories in the Admin screens. I also have installed the OTF 2.1.2 Auto Thumbnailer loader to reduce image kb's. But I don't think it has much to do with the category images except that it "sizes" them.

I'm not sure what mean about the category listing. Are you talking about those in the left side top box? or a different list?

Thank you again for your comments!

Thank you. I meant the category listing on the left. But you answered my question when you told me you used admin for categories. Assume you placed the image in the name and turned off the image required. Thank you again.
