hey guys,

Installed osc now for the second time and it seems like the frontpage is doing its work

when i try to load the admin backend i receive this error:

1046 - No Database Selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

[TEP STOP]

i am really sure that the database in the admin config file is setup correctly (same as in the includes)

Did not have this error the first time and to be honest dunno how to solve it.

Any help is welcome

Double check the admin/includes/configure.php file against the includes/configure.php file to make sure that the admin one does have a database selected in it.

If it does then check in admin/includes/local/, and if you find an alternative configure.php file in there either rename it or delete it.

btw: if someone could answer this:

is there a mod available that other vendors can enlist themselves and start selling their own products on my site, products that are complementair to mine. Or a possibility that they can see how many items of theirs are sold /month or so....

it is not an affiliate mod but i think you can cath my drift (in my awesome english) ;)

Try the 'Admin Access With Levels' contribution - which should allow access only to certain areas of your osCommerce admin section.

i just uploaded the right config for the admin again but it just gives me a blank page, database info is right, problems with the paths/urls?

If the page is blank then you may be on a Windows server with php5. php5 should throw an error on the admin landing page, but it doesn't do this on windows. Look for the '$this in upload.php' link below my name. It won't harm to apply it even if your site isn't using php5.
