osCommerce Friendly Url setting:

Hi, if I have an SEO contribution installed. If I turn off osCommerce's "search engine safe URL" setting, my googlesitemaps are rejected, however if I leave it on, occasionally upon changing what is in my cart and hitting the "update" button, I get:

Error!

Unable to determine the page link!

Is there a way ot fix this that anyone knows of? Or should I just leave the setting off at the expense of not getting indexed past my first page?

Thanks for any help!

Forget that feature it doesn't work. If you are on an Apache server which allows the use of .htaccess files then install the 'Ultimate SEO URL's' contribution. This gives you those search engine friendly urls.

Thanks for confirming that for me Vger as I didn't exactly understand if it was supposed to be turned on or off...

The SEO contrib I have installed is actually the "Ultimate SEO URL's" and it works fine, I get the ".html" links to all my categories/products.

Still Google won't index them for some reason looking at the reports availabe through my hosting provider.

Google when it first visits your site ony indexes the home page. It can be months before Google comes back and indexes the rest of your website.
