osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Hello,

We are in the process of evaluating various payment options for osCommerce.

We are located in Canada and our charges would only be in CAD, some options we have looked are

1. InternetSecure (some issues with osCommerce, plus payment page hosted on IS, not a good idea)

2. PsiGate (so far this has the best feedback)

3. Soltrus (not much in the forums, but some integration may be possible)

Could experienced people out there guide me to a good payment company? Does Authorize.net work for Canadian Business? Which has relatively low MDR or transaction fees (small business, we dont have much margins, ;) ouch)

One of the primary requirements is that the payment page should be hosted on our site, no need to send customers to the payment processing website (our customers would not like that)

I have also scoured the forums for answers, but some recent trends or options would be great.

Help is much appreciated. And again, any results from my own research will be posted under this topic for all future aspirants looking for some info.

Regards,

hello:

i recently did work for a client that had internet secure. Upon review her account, I discovered that if osCommerce offers authorize.net, you don't have to install an internet sercure module. IS uses the same process and variables as authorize.net. You just have to change the URL and the account info.

One other thing to think about is who is hosting your product page.

I would do a comparisson of set up fees, discount rates, and transactions fees between the various gateways. Then I would check the contribution section and the forum to see if a module has been suggested fo the gateway of your choice.

Hope that helps.
