I just installed oscommerce, and NONE of the images show up. They do not show up in the product catalog or in the admin section. There are just dozens of red Xs everwhere. Does anyone know what happened? Im not sure what is going on. I installed oscommerce on a different webhost and had no problems with images not showing up, can anyone help me with his?

Hi There

Check if the images folder was in the same path as the previous webhost.

/usr/www/accountname/public_html/images

Similar thing happened to me but it was for the admin area. Check if the current username and the previous usernames are same...if not it can be a problem, the same one I'm having in the admin section!

Cheers

Everything looks like its in the right directory, but its not showing any images. I dont know what is causing this, is it possibly some sort error in a configuration file somewhere? :(

If you right-click and view properties of any of those red X's (from a browser), does the path show something other than what you would expect? (ie: www.yoursite.com/images/yourimage.jpg or www.yoursite.com/catalog/images/yourimage.jpg ) If it does, then it's a path issue inside includes/configure.php

If the path of your image property appears correct to you, go make sure the images aren't all chmod to 600, if they are, chmod them all to 644. Of course, this is assuming that you've uploaded all the images in the first place. :)

Thank your for the responses, but I am still unable to see the images. the URL for the site is:

http://yourcenterforhealing.com/index.php?...merce&Itemid=31

I checked the location of the Red X's, and the corresponding images Are in the correct directories. That is one of the main reasons I was really shaking my head, because the directories are correct.

Another problem, is I cannot see, nor change file permssions through cuteftp, which was something I was able to do with another webhost. I am email the people today, hopefully it is a problem on the server side.
