aclema Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I've looked at a number of "Who's Online" contributions. I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm trying to find some type of report (thought maybe who's online would work) that tells me 1. How many people had been to my site on a given day 2. What items they looked at. 3. And what time they were on. Does anyone know if any of these "who's online" contributions will do that or if there is a different contribution I should be looking at. Amanda SORRY POSTED TO THE WRONG FORUM. MEANT TO PUT IN GENERAL SUPPORT.
GraphicsGuy Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 This User Tracking contirbution can help you with that although that is not its primary function. There are a number of web site log analyzers, some open source, some proprietary, that are designed to provide very detailed reports on this kind of information. Do a google search on "web site log analyzer" and you will see some of the options for them. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.

In rumaging through the contributions I found one that was perfect for what I was looking for but didn't say anything about "who's online" so I have resorted to going through every contribution and reading what they are for. There are some really great contributions once you figure out how to install them. I have one that I haven't been able to work the bugs out of yet but I'm getting there. Thanks for your help. Amanda
