1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-20, 20' at line 1

select p.products_id, pd.products_name, p.products_price, s.specials_id, s.specials_new_products_price, s.specials_date_added, s.specials_last_modified, s.expires_date, s.date_status_change, s.status from products p, specials s, products_description pd where p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = '4' and p.products_id = s.products_id order by pd.products_name limit -20, 20

[TEP STOP]

Thanks very much for pointing out this problem, Darklings. This post should be a sticky.

I don't understand why the osCom team doesn't add official bug fixes and updates as a release. Seems there's a huge developer base that would like to help with the progress of this application. Unfortunately, I think that we'll see many future developers working with other projects that have a more active developer base.

FYI, this is the basic info about this error:

This is only present in newer version of MySQL (4.1 > ) Older versions of MySQL had a bug allowing negative values in a LIMIT. This was a low priority bug so has only now been fixed (check the changes log for 4.1 for more info).

With MySQL 4.1 a negative start LIMIT is invalid
