Scale Factor for Table Heading Images

Something obviously scales the image files when they go in the tops of the categories area. Could someone point me to the file to edit.

 

I want my 1st Catalog page to have a smaller version of my LOGO which has been scrunched beyond recognition.

 

Also I would like to have a representative image for each category. Sorry the cartoons have to go!

 

I'd also like to lose the "Account", "Cart" & "Checkout" toons above the breadcrumb. My attempts tend to do more than intended.

I believe this can all be done from the admin page for oscommerce. Look under configuration - images.
