Sub Category

Hi,

I have been trying for a long time, but still have not found the way to do this. If you hava a knowledge about how to do this then could you please help me with this issue. If possible please send me the result to the email [email protected]

The left Category List as below

Hardware

Software

DVD Movies

Right, When i click on the Hardware Category, as you can see below the sub-categories will display.

Hardware

CDROM Drives

Graphics Cards

Keyboards

Memory

Mice

Monitors

Printers

Speakers

Software

DVD Movies

but this is what i dont want. I dont want sub categories to show when i click on the main categories. The sub categories already showing in the middle of the page. I only want sub categories to show in the middle of the page but not on the left side of the page when clicking on the main category.

Software

DVD Movies

First of all, i would like to thank you alot for trying to help me. But what i was trying to say is not necesserly the same with what you said. When i do what you written, the category section on the left side completely gets deleted. I dont want the category in the left side to be delted completely, i only want main category to show but not the sub category. I dont want the sub categories under main categories to show.

For Example:

The category on the left hand side is like the follwing.

Hardware

Software

DVD Movie

I want these categorys to show. But when we click on these categories there are sub categories gets listed under the main categories and these are the categories i dont want it to show.

For example, i dont want it like the following:

Hardware

-SounCard

-DVD Room

-ETC.

Software

DVD Movie

What can i do so that the sub categories wont show under the main categories when we click oon the main categoriy.

When i do what you written, the category section on the left side completely gets deleted. I dont want the category in the left side to be delted completely, i only want main category to show but not the sub category. I dont want the sub categories under main categories to show.

I've tried this with osc default tree and when used it only shows the top categories in the categories box

Thanks for everything you did, but we need to do some changes. This is what i exactly want to see. I want main category & sub category to show but i dont want the category under the sub categories to show.

Hardware ( Main Category )

+ DVDROM ( Sub Category of Hardware )

+ GIGABYTE ( Sub Categor of (DVDROM )

- GigabyteNEW ( Sub Category of GIGABYTE )

as i explained above. As i said, i want main category and the sub category to show but when customers click on the sub category thats when i dont want anything listed under this sub category to show..

If you clearly check the above example you will see what i mean.
