Mark-UK Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 I have some products (unisex wellies) i wanna sell i both mens and womens footwear section, how can I do this please the most professional looking way. thanks :(
schlegk Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 In Admin, click on the product and choose "Copy To". You will see a drop-down menu and you can then copy the same item to many different sections. If you choose Link Product, it will keep tabs on the quantities, but if you choose Copy Item, it will consider it a completely different item. schlegk Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 That shouldn't happen if you "link" them and not "duplicate". I DID IT ONCE AND WHEN I SEARCHED FOR AN ITEM IF I HAD COPIED IT THEN IT APEARED TWICE IN SEARCH RESULTS, I DONT WANT THIS, ANY IDEAS PLEASE.
Mark-UK Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 Thanks, so if i link instead wont the user be taken to the original locatin of the item, so say i link from the womens footwear to the pair in mens footwear, wont the user be taken to the mens footewar section.
schlegk Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 no. It copies the entire product to the new location, but simply "links" the product quantity. Thanks, so if i link instead wont the user be taken to the original locatin of the item, so say i link from the womens footwear to the pair in mens footwear, wont the user be taken to the mens footewar section.
Mark-UK Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Ive chosen the item in admin, clicked on copy to then chosen link to and clicked copy yet its not put the item in the womens section as well. Please help.
