Ninkul Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Hi there, is there any other way i can send mails on the server without php mail() on a Linux/Unix server? My webhost has seemed to have disabled it due to abuse. (Before emails wern't sending using php mail() until they re-enabled it but say they will disable it if is abused on their servers). Im not really sure what is what and what exactally this "sendmail" is. Any other option other than moving hosts would help. General server information: Operating system Linux Service Status Click to View Kernel version 2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp Machine Type i686 Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix) PERL version 5.8.7 Path to PERL /usr/bin/perl Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail Installed Perl Modules Click to View PHP version 4.3.10 MySQL version 4.0.25-standard-log cPanel Build 10.8.0-STABLE 21 Theme cPanel X v2.5.0 Documentation Click to View Theres that if that helps, we're not really sure what we're doing with this mail thing, everything else we're sweet with.
