ssl connection error

I've installed osCommerce from cPanel via Fantastico. When I click on a https link, I get this error:

"The connection to rfidbestbuy.com has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred."

 

I've tried many suggestions made on this forum but nothing seemed to help. I've also generated certs and keys using the cPanel SSL Manager tool. In my home directory, I've got public_html, ssl and www directories. My hosting is hovercloud. My catalog is installed under www. My configure.php has the following line:

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://rfidbestbuy.com');

 

Has anyone else run into this problem?

creating a csr is a first step however you still need to purchase a certificate and have it installed on your web server, thus set ssl to false until this is completed
