mmf Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Hi, Can someone help me with the catagories section. I'm having a problem when I click on products, the catagories section populates with item not related to what I have defined in the catagories. If I keep on clicking on the products links, the catagories also changes to items like "Quilts for him and here" or "vents". I notice the index.php would have a cpath=osCid with code keys. Does any know where this is being generated ? Any help would be great. thanks

I am currently building the store, and adding contributions, and I haven't discovered what is causing this. I think it may be a recent mod, but I have not narrowed it down to any particular one. Everything is fine until I add a product to the cart, then my categories change to those from a different website (www.tztoys.com). It does this whether I am logged in or not. Seems like when it goes to the shopping_cart.php is when it happens. Obviously this is not acceptable, and concerns me from a security standpoint. If it is doing this even when logged in, how secure am I? I also noticed that I am losing my osCid, both when logged in or not, as well as my https:// secure lock when I am logged in. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? I have everything under the Admin-->Sessions configuration turned on except "Force Cookies" which is OFF. How can osCommerce do this? It seems like it must access someone else's SQL database. Could it be my host? Assistance would be greatly appreciated, as always. Thanks, John
osclover Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Hi, This is a known bug. I have read a thread about this problem and its solution. Please trying searching the old threads. If you can't find, let me know, I'll try to find it out. The problem is that (if I am not wrong) that the hosting company has the same cache server for your site as well as for other oscommerce sites. And by default, in oscommerce the cache is enabled. You'll actually need to put it off. Hope that helps,
