Error Messages

I am lost, please help

 

I get this error message in pink at top of page, I cannot backup my oscommerce site database.

 

Error: Backup directory does not exist. Please set this in configure.php.

 

 

 

This error is shown when accessing the banner manager

 

Error: Graphs directory is not writeable.

you need to create your backup directory in the admin directory, set properties to 777

 

set admin/images/graphs properties to 777

 

anytime you get things like this, is more of a systems management issue, in knowing how to manage a web server/site than it is osCommerce.

I will keep trying to learn these things, I have no experience with any of this, the oscommerce or the systems management. So if I don't know the difference, I hope you understand. Everything I have learned so far has been from reading the documentation, and I will admit, alot of it is greek to me.
