how to set custom emails

I have been working for months now on my osCommerce webstore. I finelly thought I was finished today (LOL yeah, like I will EVER be finished!) and am very happy with the way everything works until now.

 

#1 Why are the only available order statuses: Pending, Processing, Delivered and Prepairing [PayPal IPN]? Where is "shipped"? What about "canceled" and "refunded"? How can I add more statuses? I know I can insert them somewhere using PHPMYADMIN but is that the only way? Is there no admin contrib or something to manage this?

 

#2 How can I configure what status will send the buyer an email when it is selected? Right now "Pending" and "Delivered" sends an email, but none of the others. I would like all status changes to send seperate emails, for example, send a "Payment receieved" email when its set to "Prepairing [PayPal IPN]" and send an "Item shipped" message that includes tracking when set to "shipped". But ohh yeah, there is no "shipped". Again, is there any admin contrib that will manage this?

 

#3 This is my main question. HOW CAN I CUSTOMIZE THE EMAILS OSC SENDS??? I have searched long and hard but cant seem to find a way. I have found a few contribs that claim to do something like this but they don't seem well supported. The default emails OSC sends are totally useless, I need a way to customize them.

 

I need a way to customize the emails and a way to configure what is autosent and when. Is there any contrib out there that does all this. Can anyone give me some information on this?

 

I think OSC is GREAT but this really seems like a very important element that was left out completely. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go into your admin area, and under "Localization" choose "Orders Status". You can change and add what you want here. :D

 

As far as email customization, I am looking for the same information!
