PLEASE HELP change something from orig config

When setting up my osc i intially enetered secure http info because i thought i had it set up already, which id on't yet and i want my cart to function.. yet when i try to check out it times out i'm assuming it's because of that? but i can't find how or where to remove that info i had initially set up when installing.. help?

If I understand you correctly, you set up as if you had ssl, but you actually don't?

 

If this is the case, you need to go into your config.php file and change ssl to false.

you mean go into the file manually there's no function in the web admin for this?

When you want to edit your files, do NOT use the admin editing function. For some reason, this adds hidden characters and will mess up your files and you will end up with parse errors.

 

You have to ftp into the directory, download the file, open it in notepad or similar program (Do NOT use Microsoft Word or Wordpad as these put hidden characters as well), change what needs changed, save the file, then upload it via ftp.
