robburne Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Hi, I am following the instructions for the installation procedure and I have got the stage of deleting the install dir and chmod'ing the various folders and files. When I attempt this via my ftp software I get the following area. 502 Command not implemented - Try HELP. I am running Apache on my local machine which is runing XP. I have checked the attributes for my ftp account and I have enabled/switched on all priviliges and options. Any suggestions please, thanks! Rob.
♥Vger Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 If this is a local install (Intranet) then all you need do is to make the two configure.php files Read Only by right-clicking on the file, select Properties and then tick the Read Only box. Vger

Now just need to try and work out why I cannot CHMOD - although that seems to be an issue with my ftp server rather than oscommerce. Thanks for your fast and helpful reply. Regards, Rob.
