ashsama Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Hi guys, this is the first time I'm installing osCommerce and I've hit a small snag I could use some help with if possible.. Running gentoo I've installed oscommerce and it's up and running, however when creating a new category you're asked to add an image, but when I select the image it doesn't show up above the dir/filename and if I click Save I get the error "IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST". I've tried adding the image from several folders, even on the servers /image itself but I still get that error. In php.ini I have "file uploads = On" but still suspect it's apache2 who wont accept the image upload for some reason? Any ideas are welcome, I've been up all night getting oscommerce just to install and run so my brain is kinda mushy atm :-) Cheers
Wendy James Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Have you set the images folder to 777? Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
ashsama Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Have you set the images folder to 777? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No not the /images but I've definied other download dir's in php.ini and _those_ I've tried with chmod 777
ashsama Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Looks like php.ini didn't have anything to do with it, worked now after chmodding /image aswell. Thanks for the help
